Szczepanika w Suwałkach Summary Civilization diseases are a serious problem around the world, including Poland. They result in negative health effects, and the costs of treatment are huge both globally and in individual countries. These diseases can be prevented by prophylactic actions, or they can be effectively treated, and the consequences of a condition may be limited by interventional actions. The aim of the study was to analyse modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors and to specify types of prophylactic and interventional procedures in the case of civilization diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and neoplasms. Key words: health, lifestyle, health behaviours, risk factors, civilization diseases |
