Personal memories of Professor Rudolf Weigl (1883-1957)

Summary
I was the last assistant of professor Rudolf Weigl, chief of the General Biology Department of the Medical Faculty at Poznan University, between 1948-1951. In the article I describe how professor R. Weigl became a Polish patriot, some of his research interests and manual abilities. His patronage has helped me to choose a specialty in medical parasitology and international health.
